Texas 1031 Qualified Intermediary · Midland & Dallas
1031 Ventures is a Texas-based qualified intermediary with team members in Midland and Dallas. We handle 1031 exchanges for investors, landowners and mineral owners across Texas, including Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and the Permian Basin, and for Texans buying replacement property anywhere in the U.S.
Texas follows the federal 1031 rules: the 45-day identification and 180-day exchange deadlines, the like-kind real property requirement, and the use of a qualified intermediary. See the full 1031 exchange rules.
Yes. Texas has no state capital gains tax, but the federal tax on a sale can still be significant:
On a large ranch, rental portfolio or mineral sale, deferring those taxes keeps far more equity working.
You can sell in Texas and buy anywhere in the U.S. If you sell property in a state with an income tax, such as California, Oregon or Massachusetts, that state may track the deferred gain and tax it when you eventually sell. Ask your CPA about any state filing requirements.
